A warm welcome from our Headteacher
Redgate is a happy and vibrant community school where our ethos is for children achieve their potential through a caring and inspiring education. In October 2017 we were delighted to be judged as a GOOD school with an OUTSTANDING judgement for Behaviour and pupil's social, emotional and mental well-being.
We are a single form entry primary school for children aged 2 -11 (Little Squirrels Nursery and seven classes from Reception to Year 6). Redgate is proud to be a feeder school for Formby High School and throughout the year our pupils work closely with the staff from Formby High on many exciting projects. In March 2016 Year 4 pupils were delighted to open Formby High's performance of Annie.
The staff, Governors and I are working together to provide the highest quality education so that our pupils develop academically, personally and socially.
We aim to ensure that all children are enthusiastic about coming to school, where they will endeavour to excel at and enjoy their learning. Achievement is continuously recognised and celebrated in an environment where equality, fairness and a sense of belonging are nurtured.
Our children feel a great sense of pride in their school and many achieve outstanding results. We are proud of what they go onto achieve in their working lives as important members of the community.
We are very much a community school, with a very active PTA and also welcome parents to be involved in school life, for example by volunteering to listen to pupils read in class.
We work very closely with local primary and secondary schools within a Learning Network – FLIP, Formby Learning in Partnership to ensure we are sharing and learning from best practice. We also have close links to Formby High School, which enables our pupils to take part in a wide range of performing arts and sports activities.
If you are looking for a school place for your child, I would be delighted to show you around and introduce you to our pupils and staff. The school office will be pleased to make an appointment for you - 01704 828140.
