The School site was built in 1964. A further building was added in 1967 to form two schools (Redgate Infant School and Redgate Junior School). In 1980 the two schools were amalgamated to form Redgate County Primary School. The School is situated in its own extensive grounds on a modern residential development. There is an electronic lock on the main door which requires any visitor to announce themselves to the office before entry can be gained. Redgate is a one form entry co-educational primary school with seven mixed ability classes to cater for the seven age groups in the school (Ages 4 - 11). The School is fortunate to be able to share some of its site with the Sefton Music Centre, with whom we maintain close contact and derive considerable benefit. Also the school now shares part of its site with Sefton's I.C.T. Suite, the Numeracy and Literacy Centres as well as the advisory teachers. Having all these resources so close to the school, we feel is also of great benefit. Within all aspects of its development the School aims to provide a secure, caring and educationally stimulating environment for all its pupils. This is illustrated in the attractive climate that exists within the School with good relationships evident between Teachers, Children, Parents and Governors. The School is committed to the National Curriculum and it provides breadth and balance to all its pupils. In addition to this, a wide range of extra curricular activities are available on a weekly basis. In conclusion, the School sees itself as a focal point within the local community and as such provides many activities out of school hours for the local community. Please click to view:
